The word MUN stands for Model United Nations. An activity in which students typically role-play delegates and diplomats from the United Nations and simulate UN committees discussing global environmental, political, social, cultural and economic issues. In other words, this is not an ordinary academic event where you could get bored. MUN provides students a platform to substantially practice researching, public speaking, debating, and writing, as well as critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities. And in case you’re wondering, PICMUN stands for Peking University Inter-Collegiate Model United Nations Conference.
