New Book on the Practice of Independent Accountability Mechanisms edited by Founding Affiliate Member Owen McIntyre

Practice of Independent Accountability Mechanisms text调整大小

Owen McIntyre, a Founding Affiliate Member of our Academy, and Suresh Nanwani, have long worked with the independent accountability mechanisms (IAMs) of different multilateral development banks (MDBs) and international financial institutions, and had both often contemplated the uncertain, hybrid legal character of such mechanisms and of the increasingly sophisticated, and impactful environmental and social rules that they apply. With this challenge in mind, they have brought together an impressive group of academic, practitioner and civil society experts in this rapidly developing field of environmental and social governance to contribute to an edited collection exploring a range of critical issues for the emerging community of practice surrounding IAMs.
