We are very happy to inform you that a Special Issue of the Utrecht Law Review, on Localizing the Sustainable Human Right to Water, has just been published.

This Special Issue on Localizing the Sustainable Human Right to Water begins with contributions focused on a global and more general perspective. These contributions provide a general introduction to the topic of the sustainable human right to water. It then shifts perspective to provide regional contributions, and finally zooms in to contributions focused on the implementation of this right at the national level.

It was the end-product of a major, long-term international project, with coordinating editors Otto Spijkers (Founding Staff Member of the Academy and Professor of International Law at the China Institute of Boundary and Ocean Studies (CIBOS) of Wuhan University), Daphina Misiedjan (International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands), Candice Foot (Erasmus University Rotterdam), and Marleen van Rijswick (Utrecht University).

All papers are available for free – open access – as Volume 16, Issue 2, 2020, of the Utrecht Law Review, to be found here: https://www.utrechtlawreview.org/49/volume/16/issue/2/
