Prof. Yanmei He is an Affiliate Member of our Academy, and professor of international law and environmental law at Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, China. She has also held positions as expert and/or member in various international and domestic organizations and associations, including the IUCN Commission of Environmental Law, China Association for Environment and Resources Law, and the Water Law Commission of Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society. Yanmei He has nearly 20 years' experience in research and consultancy related to international water law.

Professor He received a PhD degree in Law at the School of International Law, Eastern China University of Political Science and Law. Before that, she had a master’s degree in law at Shanghai Academy of social sciences, and a bachelor's degree in law at Zhengzhou University.
