Ni Guangheng

Dr. Guangheng Ni is Affiliate Member of our Academy. He obtained his bachelor and master’s degrees from Tsinghua University, and Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo. Now he is a professor at the Department of Hydraulic Engineering and serves as the vice director of the Center for International Transboundary Water and Eco-Security, Tsinghua University.

Bionote

 

His research focuses on modeling and forecasting of hydrologic cycles under changing environment, transboundary water resources management, and urban hydrometeorology. He has published a few books and over 100 peer-reviewed journal papers. He has received awards from Yunnan Province for scientific and technological achievement as first prize in 2019, the Ministry of Water Resources for scientific and technological achievement as 2nd prize in 2018, the Ministry of Education for natural sciences achievement as first prize in 2016, for his work on dam operation considering ecological system, smart modeling of hydrological cycle.
