The International Water Law Academy seeks to act as a hub of research and a community of scholars and practitioners. One aspect of this is the promotion of rigorous and analytical research, as well as research dissemination. In light of this, we have compiled the following research resources. These living documents, made entirely from publicly available information, will be occasionally updated as more information becomes available.
1. Bibliography of Research on China’s Transboundary Water Law and Policy
A list of research related to China’s transboundary water law and policy. Although this is not a complete list, it is aimed at assisting those researching the area in identifying new and relevant research.
2. List of China’s Transboundary Water Agreements and Related Documents
A list of China’s riparian neighbours and their bilateral/multilateral water agreements and related documents.
3. Timeline of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Mechanism
The Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Mechanism is a newly founded, China-led initiative for cooperation on the Lancang-Mekong River. All riparian countries participate in activities concerning five issue areas, one of which is water resources. This is a timeline of important events and milestones with a focus on those related to water resources, including links to any important documents.
